The first weekend of every March, Leadville hosts the epic Ski joring event. People line Harrison (main) street of the historic wild west town at 10,200ft and watch as people ski behind horses. They ski over jumps and try to collect rings set up along the course – it is epic to watch! Read what the New York Times has to say about this legendary weekend.
It is free to watch! No dogs or drone are allowed. For a schedule of the weekend, click here.
